My Sunshine

You are my ‘Sunshine’

   Brightening, enlightening, shoving the dark expanse,

 A ray of hope, giving me warm abode,

   The savior of my soul; that you are to me!

With you by my side, life’s a rainbow slide;

   Just beauty above, below and around.

Unnerving emotions, you keep them at bay,

  I could kill any tide; your strength makes me say.

You may be ridiculed, mocked at, often fought with,

   I may drive you insane coz I am not more sane;

I’ll be by your side forever, you know,

   Coz’ this amazing friend, I am never letting go!

Forbidden Fruit

There is no magic, no omens beckoning,

    No end to the rains, my cloud has no lining.

It is cold outside, it is cold within,

    I feel the despair, I feel broken, in pain.

My heart goes numb, my soul plays dumb,

    I am weeping inside, destined to succumb,

To the fear of losing a cherished presence,

    My savior I thought, but fate says ‘not’

I have no regrets, inevitable has dawned,

   How terrifying though, the face it has donned,

Its pale like sorrow, its dark like soot,

    It’s a sweet misery, not unlike the forbidden fruit.

Life Is His Mentor

   Behold! The cry of joy,

       My friends, one and all!

      For here's a good man,

       As good as they come.

     

      With mesmerizing words

       ibid wondrous mystique,

      Is he a poet;

       Or every poet's dream?

      A hallowed soul,

       Delivering us all;

      He seeks eternal bliss

       In the realm of thoughts.

      Riding on emotions,

       Undaunted, into the unknown,

      Life is his mentor!
